The Gift of Now

The prayer known as the high priestly prayer found in John's gospel highlights the mission of Jesus: to glorify the Father and offer eternal life to all who believe in Jesus Christ. Phillip Mumford encourages us to accept the gift now.

Timing Is Everything

Ecclesiastes 3:1-10; John 11:38-44

Phillip Mumford investigates the crucial factor of timing, and how it unfolds in the story of Lazarus returning to life after being in the tomb four days. Even though there may be times we feel isolated, neglected, or we simply do not understand why we experience life the ways we do, God is always on time.

Death Does Not Have to Be the End!

Do You Believe in the Holy Spirit?

Isaiah 55:6-11; John 15:26-27; John 16:7-11

Robbie Wortham reminds his hearers of the role and function the Holy Spirit throughout the history of the church, and how revival often relies upon the presence of the Spirit. In fact, we seem ineffective at best without the movement, power, and presence off the third person of the Holy Trinity. 

Blessed Assurance: the Father’s Promise

Luke 24:50-53; 2 Kings 2:1-11; Acts 1:1-9

Phillip Mumford encourages us to embrace the necessity of the doctrine of the Ascension as a Blessed Assurance that God is always faithful and may fill us with 'great joy' if we are willing to say 'Yes, Lord, Yes.' Mumford explores the making of the famous hymn written by Fanny Crosby yet inspired by the tune by Phoebe Palmer Knapp.
