Phillip Mumford encourages us to embrace the necessity of the doctrine of the Ascension as a Blessed Assurance that God is always faithful and may fill us with 'great joy' if we are willing to say 'Yes, Lord, Yes.' Mumford explores the making of the famous hymn written by Fanny Crosby yet inspired by the tune by Phoebe Palmer Knapp.

Phillip Mumford explores "And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord" from the Apostles' Creed, emphasizing that Jesus is both God and man, fully human, fully divine. Jesus is both the high priest and the sacrificial lamb, the Alpha and Omega, the author and perfecter of our faith.
